In Thailand, residents of high-rise buildings in Bangkok and neighboring provinces, as well as the city of Chiang Mai, felt the tremors and shared information on social media. Many people came out of high-rise buildings and stood on the streets, while the Lao capital Vientiane was also in the same situation. Many photos and videos have been shared of collapsed buildings and homes in Myanmar and Thailand, but the number of people affected (possibly dead and injured) has not yet been confirmed.
